WHATZ REALLY HOOD TV (formerly Whatz Really Hood DVD Magazine)

In 2003, a production company was formed by an aspiring urban filmmaker named Nick Supernova. Supernova Studios was formed and ready to share visions and opinions to the world. By the time 2006 came around, Supernova Studios’ first major project was born. Born because of the realization that Canadian hip hop is unique and legit.


Whatz Really Hood TV is an online urban broadcaster that focuses on hip hop music, lifestyle, trends, and culture with spotlights on Canadian and international artists in the urban scene. Other forms of urban music will be featured to give our audience greater insight on the urban scene. The evolution of this DVD magazine is Whatz Really Hood TV. Each page is like its own channel bringing the illest freestyles, viral video and other entertaining and informative content while primarily bringing an urban perspective of the Canadian and international hip hop music, lifestyle, and culture. Andreena Mill's album cover photo shoot


Recently, we were invited on set for Andreena Mill's album cover shoot in Downtown Toronto.  The talented T-Dot songstress is back on the scene with the album's first single 'La La La'.  I was able to take in some of her solo mixtape that day and it sounds like a hit factory.  Seems like Ms. Mill is ready to take the reigns from Jully Black but with more of a fresh, natural beauty like Keisha Chante and with lady-like sex appeal. Match this with her hot, saucy vocals mixed in with some raw flava.  Its kinda like a Young Mary J. from the What's The 411 era.  And oh yea she's got that same kinda sexiness and street cred.  Plus, she's shown she has chops from since an early age which got her the opportunity to work with Toronto hip hop heavyweights like Kardinal Offishal, Saukrates and Drake.  Toronto this is what our scene has been missing!   I'll be the first to co-sign that!   


Canada needs this kind of urban talent, especially right now, considering what people like Kardi and Drake have done/are doing for Canadian urban music on an international level currently.  I can see Andreena Mill being right up there among hip hop soul royalty.  Till this day one of my favourite tracks is the Drake/Andreena Mill collabo - Closer To My Dreams. We were very fortunate to have Andreena lace us with an exclusive that is so hot we had to hold onto it until the www.whatzreallyhood.tv re-launch.
