In 2003, a production company was formed by an aspiring urban filmmaker named Nick Supernova. Supernova Studios was formed and ready to share visions and opinions to the world. COMIC RELIEF - Justin Bieber CAN'T Sing!

***YANKEE PICK of Da WEEK***Slaughterhouse "Microphone" Director's Cut

This is the YANKEE PICK of Da WEEK. This selection is by one of my favourite super groups/crews of all time, Slaughterhouse. One of the reasons I love this group is because they bring together ill emcees from the East, West, and MidWest...all we're missing is the South and the North and its a wrap!! Ha! Now that's an idea! But for real, this track has a classic sample from Eric. B fused with hard rhymes. Joell Ortiz rips it on this joint while the others hold their own. This single is on the self titled album released in late 2009. Check for a collabo with Eminem off his Recovery album, called "Session One"--- HOT TRACK

Rumour has it that the group is signing with Shady Records but nothing is official yet. I'll keep y'all posted. For now, check out this hot video. Props to the director for making the video so gutter and so HOOD!

***YANKEE PICK of Da WEEK***Nipsey Hussle - feeling myself Video

So to set off this special feature blog that I'm calling "Yankee Pick Of The Week" the selection is the Nipsey Hussle track Feelin' Myself (feat. Lloyd). This is that type of track that has a top down, Cali G funk sound that's been kinda missing these days. I feel that Nipsey Hussle exemplifies the 'Grind' a lot of indie rappers are feelin' right now and his sound sends this message and a message that hard work pays off. But of course we already know this! Check the video and see for yourself!!

P.S. This is something I wanna try to feature on a weekly basis, to reserve a spot for the American rappers with current material(i.e. album, mixtape, etc.) and/or a hot single that's dropped recently. This is because for any of you that know about Whatz Really Hood? DVD MAG, you already know. But for those of you who don't--we aim to focus more on Canadian hip hop music, lifestyle & culture.

Big Lean Lock who/Everywhere i go Official video (prod by Boi 1da)

This video was superbly shot by my homeboy Glory of L&G Films. Another Boi-1da track (Baby Grhyme video - Ain't nothin pretty). Toronto where you at??!!? Belly, I see you! I love seeing peeps on the come up, gettin' that money. Another one of T-Dot's Finest with mad potential. Let's see what the massive thinks. Check out the video and leave feedback!

AINT NOTHING PRETTY . BABY GRHYME (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

This fresh, new female rapper from T-dot has some conscious lyrics. I got put onto her a few years ago by indie producer I know named F.R.O.G.Z. and it seems like she's been grindin out her music. I think this track & video deserve a BIG UP! Baby Grhyme is mos def on the come up! Check it!
